Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with olive oil and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if needed, then add the sliced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes. If using mushrooms, add them to the skillet and cook until softened.

  6. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture onto the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  7. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
  8. Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the beef and vegetables.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and provolone cheese evenly over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
  12. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
