Instructions:
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent them from burning on the grill.
In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, paprika, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, salt, and pepper to make the marinade.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat them evenly. Cover the bowl and marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or preheat your oven broiler.
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
If using a grill, oil the grates to prevent sticking. Place the chicken skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. If using an oven broiler, arrange the skewers on a baking sheet lined with foil and broil for about 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chicken is cooked and slightly charred.
Once the chicken skewers are cooked, remove them from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes.
Serve the chicken skewers hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
Enjoy these juicy and flavorful chicken skewers as a delicious appetizer or main dish!
